Biography

Arzu Kader HARMANCI SEREN is form Turkey. She graduated from Florence Nightingale School of Nursing in 2000. She got her master's degree in 2003 and a Ph.D. degree in 2010 in the nursing management program at Istanbul University Institute of Health Sciences.

She worked as a surgical unit nurse at Istanbul University Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty Hospital between 2002 and 2004. Then she worked as an organ transplantation coordinator in the same hospital between the years 2004 and 2010. After her Ph.D. dissertation, she transferred to Istanbul University Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, as a lecturer. She became faculty in 2013 in the same university. Since 2018 she has been working at the University of Health Sciences Turkey, Hamidiye Faculty of Nursing as an associate professor.

She has published studies related to organ transplantation coordination systems and nurses' roles in these systems in national and international journals. She is still studying health policy, organizational behavior in hospitals, and organ transplant coordination systems.

She is a member of the Turkish Nurses Association, Organ Transplant Coordinators Association, and Association of Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation Nurses, and International Transplant Nurses Society. She is an international director in the ITNS Board of Directors since 2018, September.
