Biography

Prince Tenoso completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines in 2006.

Immigrated in the United States and started to work for Renal Advantage Inc. in the outpatient dialysis setting between 2006 to 2012 as a dialysis reuse technician, hemodialysis nurse, clinical coordinator and as a center operations manager where he was responsible for overseeing the facility’s quality and has supervised a few outpatient dialysis clinics in San Francisco.

He served as an inpatient program manager between 2012 to 2017 for Fresenius Medical Care overseeing inpatient dialysis programs for several hospitals across northern California. During that time he also served as an interim program manager for Apheresis Care Group which provides apheresis services across Northern California. He dealt with several inspectors like Joint Commission Surveys, CMS surveys, MERP (Medication Error Reduction Program), GACHRLS (General Acute Care Hospital Relicensing Survey), FDA and internal audits conducted by the hospital to ensure the programs are in compliance and have gained recognition for outstanding performance by the organization for having zero deficiency on all Joint Commission recertification surveys.

During this time he also served as an interim clinical manager for two newly opened outpatient dialysis clinics in Oakland and San Francisco, California and has worked with California Department of Public health inspectors to obtain licenses for the facilities to be fully operational.

He began his work in the transplant field in 2017 as a kidney and pancreas transplant coordinator at University of California San Francisco where he participates as a member of the COVID Task force committee to develop a new telehealth workflow for the evaluation team and as Team Lead for the Referral Task Force as part of the transplant center’s efforts to improve workflow and reduce waste.

He obtained his CNN (Certified Nephrology Nurse) certification in 2014. He is currently affiliated with ANNA (American Nephrology Nurses Association) since 2010. He is also a member of ITNS (International Transplant Nurses Society) since 2018 where he currently participates as an abstract reviewer for their annual symposium and is currently the Chair for the Young Professionals Committee to help develop programs to encourage and increase engagement for new and upcoming transplant nurses for ITNS.
